Interested in Becoming a Member?

Membership in the Lethbridge Astronomy Society is open to anyone interested in astronomy and related topics. Members enjoy such benefits as:

  • Regular monthly meetings from September to June (except December)
  • Access to Centre facilities and resources such as libraries and telescopes
  • Regular monthly member activity nights
  • Classes and workshops with topics relevant to astronomy
  • Lectures and sessions from professional astronomers and authors
  • Access to member exclusive sections of this web site

Annual memberships (September to August) are:

  • Regular Member (must be 18 years or older):  $50.00

  • Spousal Member (must be a spouse or partner of a Regular Member):  $25.00

  • Associate Member (must be 14 or older:  $25.00

In addition, there are two special classes of membership:

  • Life Member:  An award given to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Society and who is a member or a past member of the Society.

  • Honourary Member:  An Honourary Membership is an award given to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Society or to astronomy and/or space science and who is not a member or has never been a member of the Society.

New members can join by attending any regular general meeting (see Calendar of Events ) or by completing the Membership Form (click here).

Did You Know..
