Youth Groups
The Lethbridge Astronomy Society is committed to public education. Throughout the fall, winter and spring the Society holds evening sessions for school classes, Cubs, Scouts, Embers, and other various youth groups that are booked in advance with our Education Coordinator. We usually have a brief introduction about our Society and then a slide show about our solar system and deep sky objects. Then, if the weather permits, we go outside and view the night sky and have the kids look telescopes.
The University of Lethbridge
We also instruct the Astronomy Laboratory to students from The University of Lethbridge. Using the resources of the Oldman River Observatory, we offer instruction and hands-on experience to enhance the education experience for these students.
Adult/Corporate Groups
Adult group presentations are also held to allow members of the local community the opportunity to experience the excitement of viewing the universe above us. We also welcome corporate organizations to book with us.

Our event formats are flexible and will accommodate to each group. We may offer a brief introduction to the Society, a tour of the night sky, and workshops on how to use telescope equipment.
Booking Requests
To arrange a visit to the Oldman River Observatory for your group, please  submit a request using the form below.
