The Oldman River Observatory

The Oldman River Observatory was established at the base of Popson Park in 1991.  It is one of the best equipped amateur astronomy faciliites in Canada.  The Centre has its own library, an impressive presentation room, and a 5.5 metre dome housing a 35.5 cm Celestron telescope.  The telescope is equipped with a CCD camera attachment that enables members to take amazing image of the night sky.
